I relate to your comment so much. Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s especially interesting that you mention Buddhism because think about Buddhist philosophy a lot too when I’m traveling and reflecting on travel. Especially the concept of coming to understand yourself and your place in this world at a core level — working to get closer to the center of understanding. I think travel helps us do this by transplanting us out of our normal lives. We really have to take a hard look at ourselves when we ditch our comfort zones. Thank you so much for reading.
